Abstract— In this project, we study the application of Polymer Optical Fiber and Laser sources in High Speed Data Communication. The advantages of using multicarrier modulation schemes like Discrete Multitone (DMT) are studied. We also study the application of Reed Solomon (RS) codes for Forward Error Correction (FEC) in optics. We consider a particular RS code, RS (255,239), of length 255 and having capability to correct upto 8 errors.

Abstract— This paper describes several software side-channel attacks based on inter-process leakage through the state of the CPU's memory cache. This leakage reveals memory access patterns, which can be used for cryptanalysis of cryptographic primitives that employ data-dependent table lookups. The attacks allow an unprivileged process to attack other processes running in parallel on the same processor, despite partitioning methods such as memory protection, sandboxing and virtualization. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which disables the cache memory .This would make the AES impregnable to cache timing attack.

Abstract— In this paper we investigate the method for chromatic dispersion of Borosilicate crown glass from the scalar effective index method using transparent boundary condition with linear and elliptic waveguide. It has been demonstrated that it is possible to obtain near zero dispersion in a wavelength range of 1.5 to 2.0 µm from a six ring into which inner three ring are designed as elliptic and the outer three ring are designed by using linear waveguide to design circular and square holes for the calculation of Flat and near zero dispersion in PCF.

Abstract— A high-pass filter (HPF) is an electronic filter that passes high frequency signals but attenuates (reduces the amplitude of) signals with frequencies lower than the cutoff frequency. The actual amount of attenuation for each frequency varies from filter to filter. A high-pass filter is usually modeled as a linear time-invariant system. It is sometimes called a low-cut filter or bass-cut filter. The paper describes the designing of this high pass filter using OTA. The use of this element reduces cost drastically and has a good response. An experiment was conducted through this component which provided better result.

Abstract— Contrast Enhancement is very important for better visual perception and color reproduction. In this paper we explained the base enhancement techniques Histogram Equalization, Bi-histogram Equalization, Contrast Enhancement using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and Contrast enhancement based on Dominant Brightness and Adaptive Transformation. The performance of every method is evaluated with parameters such Mean Square Error (MSE), Measure of Enhancement (EME), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE).

Abstract- Addressing today’s ever increasing changes in data management needs require solutions that can achieve unlimited scalability, high availability and massive parallelism while ensuring high performance levels. The new breed of applications like business intelligence, enterprise analytics, Customer Relationship Management, document processing, Social Networks, Web 2.0 and Cloud Computing require horizontal scaling of thousands of nodes as demanded when handling huge collections of structured and unstructured data sets that traditional RDBMS fail to manage. The rate with which data is being generated through interactive applications by large numbers of concurrent users in distributed processing involving very large number of servers and handling Big Data applications has outpaced the capabilities of relational databases thereby driving focus towards the NoSQL database Adoption. NoSQL database systems have addressed scaling and performance challenges inherent in traditional RDBMS by exploiting partitions, relaxing heavy strict consistency protocols and by way of distributed systems that can span data centres while handling failure scenarios without a hitch. In this paper different database management systems are discussed and their underlying design principles namely ACID, CAP and BASE theorems respectively, are evaluated.
